We wrote this one the same session as me and Lex wrote Your War. It was one of those songs that was almost done before we started. We just went in and made some minor adjustments.

This is probably the song where most people have told me I’ve got a hit on my hands as I played it in meetings and for friends. I really love this song, and the way the melody goes. It is such a pop song, but still a little different because of the chord progression in the chorus. For some reason it is one of those songs where people catch on when they hear it the first time, it is uncomplicated but with a hint of an underlying complexity that I think attracts most people.

The message is really about the importance of being your self. Everybody is insecure deep down inside, everybody occasionally feels bad about themselves and most of the time no one but the individual realizes it. As long as you trust your heart, believe in yourself and listen to the people close to you who love you, you will always end up in a good place sooner or later.

When we went in with the band we redid the whole groove of the song. In the beginning I wasn’t sure I liked it, but when I got into it, it was great. It’s gonna have a real nice sloppy groovy feel to the song, very conventional in a way but also very “Unswedish” I’d say. We have been striving to keep this one simple but add something to it that makes you remember it.
